Introduction

The University of São Paulo Botany Graduate program intents to educate highly capacitated human resources for teaching and research.

The program has six platforms that go through botany’s most important fields:

- Anatomy of Vascular Plants;

- Systems Biology;

- Plant Development Biology;

- Algae Biology;

- Plant Economic Resources;

- Systematics, Evolution and Biogeography of Vascular Plants

The program received grade 7 in the last Capes quadriennial evaluation (2013-2016), further confirming our graduate excellency for another period. In Capes’ words, “Today, their program is one of the leading human resources educators for research and graduation in Botany”.

2nd semester admission exam

Application: from August 15, 2026, until 11:59 p.m. (Brasilia Standard Time) on August 31, 2026.

Exams:

The evaluation of the research project on September 16, 2026,

The interviews will be held from October 05 to 07, 2026, starting at 8:30 a.m. (Brasilia Standard Time).
